Graduate thesis
Those students interested to apply for a thesis (laurea degree) should contact one member of the MeIGePeG. Accepted candidates may participate to field investigations or laboratory experiments.
Main topics: tectono-metamorphic reconstruction of crystalline basement rocks, petrophysical tests, applied petrography, quantitative microstructures by means of image analysis, geothermobarometry (pseudosection tool), geochronology, field mapping and structural investigation aided with hand-pocket PC (GIS).

Ph.D. courses
Ph.D students will participate to different active research projects (Doctorate in Petrography and Petrology at the University of Catania, 3 years duration).
